If I were to point out one thing that is a little bothersome with Andromeda, it's just how much there is to the game. And then there's the landing on completely unknown and alien planets, which were designed with great care. The rest of the systems, with all their written detail and design are equally impressive. At the center of the galaxy is a black hole, and upon visiting it the first time it sent chills down my spine. From creating outposts on completely alien planets to first contact events, Andromeda is reminiscent of Star Trek, going boldly where no man has gone before.Īnd they pulled no punches when designing Andromeda. All the meanwhile, there's story details that explain that they plan to bring the heart of the Milky Way (the races and whatnot) back to Andromeda in a later game, something I am looking forward to. And they've definitely nailed the spirit of exploration and beginning anew in an alien galaxy, in my opinion. From the very beginning, it is overly apparent that Bioware was using Andromeda and the Andromeda Initiative as a metaphor for their previous entries in this series. While there are a few hiccups, the grand adventure of the Andromeda galaxy keeps me pretty occupied. People have noted that the writing or voice acting in the game is below-par, but from what I've seen it's quality. It was quite disappointing, but also something I completely forgot about once I started in on the story.
But on top of the animations, the character creation is one of the lightest I've seen. But the upside to Andromeda has made this more than bearable.
Not to mention the "less-than-important" characters that you can have a conversation with, but their animation doesn't change one bit from in-convo to out-of-convo. Also, his eyebrows react oddly throughout conversations. My character, before ever leaving the opening, did this Exorcist-like turn creating this mess of his neck. From one of the first scenes in the game, it's pretty apparent. Now that being said, I am not above the flaws that Andromeda has, I just don't put as much stock into them as many are exhibiting. I'm at about 20% completion with 16 hours logged. I've played and owned every one of their games, so there's that. This plays into how enchanted I am by Andromeda. I am a bit biased when it comes to this game. So there should be some warnings before I begin. 3 months should be enough for that.By Chizaqui | Review Date: March 26, 2017 Hell, after you complete Andromeda you can try out the Dragon age trilogy too. If you don't own he game this might actually be your best bet.

So I signed up for that deal and put an alarm on my phone to remind me to discontinue the service when the trial period is up. Anyway, as I said I decided to replay Andromeda and noticed that the online portion of the game wasn't available (not that it's really all that necessary) so I decided to sign up for one month of EA Play (not Pro) and was pleasantly surprised to see they had a deal where you get three months for $5.99. I was also an EA Play member for a couple of years but discontinued my membership a couple of months ago because I hardly ever used it. I owned the ME:A standard edition since launch and played it once and never went back to it until a few weeks ago.
